Fancy House

Fancy House was inspired by the story of Indian Billionaire, Mukesh Ambani, who built a non-traditional high-rise home in the heart of Mumbai.  Often times we associate structures like mansions, castles, and countryside estates with millionaires and billionaires.  But it’s not every day we read about a billionaire building a custom 27-story high-rise in the middle of a central business district.  The 560 foot tall residence, which is a marvel of design, is located in southern Mumbai and is nicknamed the Antilia.     

Fancy House is a series of high-rise sketches by Stevan Pirkovic which were inspired by the idea of an entire building being dedicated to a single residence.  Sketched with pen and paper, this series explores various sizes and shapes of a hypothetical high-rise residence.  Below are a few articles about the Antilia written around the time it was built.
